About
Welcome! I'm Kathleen (she/her). I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor, and a member in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of the Fraser Valley, and my Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University.

I would describe myself as a warm, and empathic person. I love animals, reading, and relaxing in front of the TV with a steaming cup of coffee. Many have described me as a great listener, and I look forward to the possibility of being that for you. I am an LGBTQIA2S+ ally, and believe passionately in each person's right to live authentically, and without fear.
I strive to help my clients learn ways to cope with everyday stress, which can arise at work, and in our relationships. Learning ways of managing the many things in our day to day lives that can drain us is extremely valuable. I believe that it is not our fault if we struggle with our mental health, but it is our responsibility to do what we can to take the steps towards feeling better, and living the life we imagine.
I believe strongly in the power of hope. One of the quotes I live by is: "Nothing is hopeless, we must hope for everything." - Euripides. When we are struggling with anxiety, or depression, oftentimes it can feel like we are in an eternal struggle with ourselves. As a mental health therapist, I work hard to help my clients feel empowered to explore their thinking, and cultivate a life that brings them joy, and contentment.
